Wahset district 2 meet #3 is approaching fast in fact, this weekend! It really doesn't feel like the meet is this weekend but it is. Im beyond excited, I put a new bit of athena last week and she's doing amazing. I normally run her in a hackamore but lately she was starting to get kinda strong with it when she wanted to so I tried a Johnson hack. Which basically is a combo just the bit is a chain, she likes it a lot better because it doesn't hit the roof of her mouth and is softer, it also still has a noseband thats she has been used to forever. We had a few struggling rides the last two weeks but this week changed and I'm glad we started working together again and not bonking heads before the meet! Overall I'm just wanting a fun freshman year last meet experience to hang out with my friends, learn something new and have a fun time with my horse. Just hoping to make it to state for a few more events! Im already in for keyhole, just this meet I have a bunch to make it with if we can get up there in the standings. I'm feeling pretty confident and I think Athena is too!
