Thats a Wrap to Meet 3 On To State!

Meet #3 was no doubt the best meet this season and such a great way to end the meets! Athena really stepped up her game and I'm so proud of her! We took 5th place in barrels with a 14.911, we were trying for a 15.1/15.0 all weekend (15.3 on friday 6th place) she made me really proud of her, she caught up with all the big horses! Poles I took 4th with a 22.376 which was a real shocker because we haven't been doing the best on poles lately! We went in there with a good mindset, just to go for it! Figure 8 went well too, we took 5th (I think?) with a 18.9 even with some bobbles, she did a hoppy thing for some reason so that was interesting!
Keyhole went awesome, we took 1st with a 7.502 and the gold medal! Was really hoping for a 7.3 like we did in practice but thats okay theres a couple things we can improve on, we will get it at state. Canadian flags went awesome too! My team and I made it to state, got the bronze medal, and took 2nd with a 38 even with some mistakes! Also tried Working Pairs for the first time, never practiced before besides at the meet itself and still got 6th out of 17! Even made up a really cool costume in under a hour!
Overall it was such a great meet, I had so much fun with my friends. Made so many memories to remember. I can't wait for state in Moses Lake in May! Figure 8, Keyhole, Barrels and Canadian flags.
